Poulios Chestnut Cream is produced exclusively from chestnut trees of the Poulios family, in Kastaneri, Mount Paiko, at an altitude of 800 m. With a tradition in cultivation since 1955 and HACCP/CODEX certification from the Q-Check organization, the company guarantees excellent quality and full traceability.

Chestnuts are harvested from September 20th to October 15th, using the rapid collection method on nets, to preserve the fruit’s natural moisture and shine. This is followed by same-day sorting, cleaning, UV sterilization, and grading into four sizes before storage at a controlled temperature (-1.5 to +0.5°C).

Only top-quality fruits are selected for processing; they are thoroughly washed, boiled in beechwood cauldrons, and peeled manually to produce natural chestnut puree. The final cream is made from 54% chestnut, with added syrup, potassium sorbate, and citric acid. Packaging is carried out in a 6 kg modified atmosphere container (oxygen removal & nitrogen addition) for maximum stability and freshness.
